The much awaited Argentina vs Brazil friendly match would be played today in the northern city of Belem in Brazil. Both teams are desperate for a win as the last friendly match between Argentina and Brazil ended on a goalless draw. If they again end in a draw, the would be forced for a penalty shootout. The team who wins this match would be the Superclassic of Americas, which is a home and away friendly series in which the teams uses players from its local clubs.
Argentina will be missing veteran playmaker Juan Roman Riquelme, who is ruled out due to a left knee injury sustained in Boca Juniors' 0-0 draw with Argentinos Juniors on Sunday. Players such as Mario Bolatti, Andres D'Alessandro, Pablo Guinazu and Walter Montillo would be there in the Argentinian line up.
Brazil would also be missing services of players such as midfielder Paulinho and Mario Fernandes due to injury and personal reasons respectively. Two-time FIFA player of the year Ronaldinho and young sensation Neymar would be there in the Brazilian line up. But Brazilians are more favoured to win this match as they have a slight upper hand over the Argentinian team and home advantage is also with Brazil.
Anyway we can hope to have a great match today and whoever wins this match, would be entitled as Superclassic of Americas.
